“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”  – Virginia Woolf

It is the middle of January and you are probably regretting burning all that mullah last year during the holiday. But of course spending money on food is not to be regretted, after all food is bae.

Which is why I am feeling touched to make sure you have something to look forward to, a great dinner and a great companion to have a laugh with. One of the things I love about having a meal together is the opportunity to catch up, have some fun and leave your troubles behind.
Which is why I am giving you an opportunity to have dinner with somebody at Dusit D2 in Riverside.

All you have to do is tell me if you had an opportunity to have dinner with any famous person (dead or alive) who would it be? Why?
And what would you talk about?
The best answer gets the dinner for 2 at Dusit D2. Who knows if I feel touched I might add some Safaricom credit for the runners up.
I will announce the winner next Wednesday. So get creative and sell me your story.
Please make sure your answer is captured in the comment section below.

  1. Sharon Mundia (This is Ess). I don’t have a revolutionary reason actually. I just admire her life because she seems to have everything going her way….I would like to know if she feels insecure sometimes like I do. What are her low moments like? Does she feel complete? Are there times when she feels worthless? I would really like to hear it from someone I consider the standard of a happy life.

  2. It would be Jesus! Might sound corny but haven’t you ever wondered about God’s creative power? The air we breathe, the green grass, blue sky, magnificent animals… the colorful world. Why not gray or colorless? Why not a bleak planet? Do you mind telling me about God’s amazing handiwork, dear Jesus? 🙂

  3. I would love to have dinner with Orie Rogo Manduli. She is a woman of so many firsts in Kenya. First African black woman to compete in the world circuit safari rally, first woman in Kenya to head the NGO council..then the trademark head gear.
I would wish to know what drives her, does she have moments when she slows down at life…well, her energy is something everyone in Kenya would tell :). Then ofcourse I would ask for one of her head gears…better yet, be taught how to put it all together.

  4. Remember West gate attack? There was soon much blood shed and a lot of rescuing going around however one particular person got my attention, the home clothed cop who shielded a kid with his body and rescued him. I pray for that man every single day and that is the man I would love to dine with and all I will be doing is thanking him for a noble act he did.

  5. My ideal and dream come true dinner would be with none other than Barrack Muluka. This is one true person whom I share Kwame Nkrumah’s Vision for a United Africa as he famously put “I am not African because I was born in Africa but because Africa was born in me”.

The best gift to give the next generation is hope that Africa is one glorious place to be born in and hence worth cherishing. It would simply be an honor and privilege to sample African cuisine whilst reliving the pan africanism spirit of Kwame Nkrumah with Barack Muluka whose passion for Pan Africanism is alive.

Thank you in advance for the opportunity.

The famous person i would love to have dinner with would be Caroline Mutoko( Radio Africa) other people think she is overated but she is not.

I remember the first time i listened to her was in 2000 when KISS had launched and that is the one show i dint miss. Everytime she speaks there is a lot of sense and it makes you reflect on everything.
Apart from the limelight that comes been in the media would love to sit down with her on a lazy movie night and get to know who she really is, her inspiration and underneath all the critics how she has survived and become better at her trade.

She remains the queen of radio but i want to know the real Caroline.

  7. All you have to do is tell me if you had an opportunity to have dinner with any famous person (dead or alive) who would it be? Why?

    Good afternoon Rayhab?

This is how you know food is bae, i love Dusit D2 and am willing to take time out of my day to type away my thoughts!

My famous person alive is definetely the obama daughters because in this case they come as a package. We never got to see them address any function openly and it would be awesome to have a sit down with either of them.I have watched countless movies regarding presidential daughters but it would be mind blowing chatting one on one.

I would love to ask them genuinely how it really was growing up in the white house, their honest feelings about having secret service everywhere they go, if they have learnt how to identify honest and fake people so far. I would definitely want to know if they have been able to date, i promise, their parents will never know haha! . If they would change anything about growing up in the white house, what they think of their parents and later i would love to show them i our awesome country for free, host them for a movie and free dinner! Okay am done..The conversation would be endless

For real, i am done now..Lol
